Hi, I'm Emma!
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate with a Master of Social Work from Winthrop University, and I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and young adults.
I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment where clients feel safe being themselves, expressing their emotions, and working through challenges at their own pace. I believe therapy is most effective when it feels collaborative, genuine, and tailored to each individual, and I meet my clients with compassion, curiosity, and an appreciation for their unique strengths.
I especially enjoy working with children and young people who experience big emotions, anxiety, OCD, frustration, or difficulty managing their emotions and behaviors. I also have a particular interest in supporting children and adolescents through adjustment and life transitions, as well as body-focused repetitive behaviors such as hair pulling and skin picking. I enjoy helping clients better understand themselves, develop coping skills, build frustration tolerance, and grow their confidence.
My approach is flexible, creative, and developmentally appropriate, incorporating evidence-based strategies and play. When working with children, I value collaborating with parents and caregivers so that the skills learned in therapy can be supported at home, while also giving each child a safe space to build trust and have a voice in their own therapy.
Outside of the office, I enjoy reading, staying active, and spending time with my three cats, Barry, Ellie, and Birdie.
